SNSD - Snowy Wish
Another late Saturday morning. The bright blue sky from the past weeks has now disappeared and was now replaced by big, fluffy, grey clouds.
I was excited.
Those weren't clouds of rain. They were snow clouds, and any minute the whole town would be covered by the white blanket of snow.
It was also our winter break already. Luhan was hanging out in our room--Hanbyul with him--and was playing scrabble with Amber. I didn't join. I prefer to sit by the window and wait for the snow.
"Yes!" Hanbyul shouted. "I won!"
"Not again," Amber complained.
"Hey! Why do you always win? Are you cheating?!" Luhan whined. "You aren't even using words from the dictionary!"
"But they are from the dictionary!" Hanbyul defended. "It's not my fault you don't open it every day."
"Not fair," Luhan continued. "The other players should have the knowledge that the word does exist in the dictionary."
Hanbyul smirked. "No rules like that."
"Okay, okay now," Amber laughed and stopped the argument. "Do you want to play again?"
Both the guys shook their heads. Hanbyul explained that he'll be meeting with some other friends.
"Chan-Chan and I have a date," Lulu explained.
Amber shrugged. "Hm. Fair enough. I'll just stay and ream some books. Y'all go and have fun, okay?"
After Hanbyul, Lulu and I left the dorm. We actually aren't going on a date. We're just buying some stuff at the convenience store. But, well, Lulu still thinks it's a date.
"Every day’s a date with you, Chan-Chan!" he had said before.
At the convenience store, there weren't too many people. I was expecting a lot of people since it's already the winter break. But I guess they used it to go to their own homes, or went to another place for vacation.
Lulu got a basket for both of us. "You buy your stuff, I'll buy the foods," I said.
"And your stuff? Who will buy those?" he asked.
"Still me, of course."
"Woah, woah, woah," he said as he showed both his palms. "Why are you buying everything? It's unfair. Let's just both buy the foods."
I laughed and gave my consent. Lulu can really sometimes be amusing. And so, both of us bought our foods and stuff together.
Lulu carried the basket. It would have been awkward if I were to bring it than him anyway. He put his own needs there like some toothpaste and some hair gel.
Mine, I only bought shampoo and some face powder.
For the foods, I let Luhan choose like a runaway child. He left the basket to me and ran to all sorts of directions, and came back with at least two kinds of food.
Once, he came back with a pack of sauced beef. "What's this for??"
He stopped before he could even leave to get new ones. "I don't know. I just thought maybe it's delicious?"
I shook my head and giggled. "Oh, Lulu, what am I going to do with you?" I made him return all the unnecessary foods, and every time, he would heave and pout, which was just amusing.
When we finished, we went to cashier and waited in line.
"Oh, Chan-Chan, wait, I'll just get something," Lulu said and scrambled off back to the foods.
As I waited, I noticed someone familiar at the other co
